Arctia festiva

The Hebe tiger-moth (Arctia festiva), is one of the most common species in arid places of Tbilisi surroudings. Butterflies are on the wings from late February, while the large, hairy caterpillars can be seen from December, actively crawling the steppe in search of vast majority of plants, that consist it's rich diet.
