Chinese Water Dragon - Physignathus cocincinus
Chinese Water Dragons live in Southeast Asia (Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Burma, Thailand, Southern China). They were introduced to Hong Kong as pets and settled there at the beginning of this century. This is what it looked like: squatting calmly by the side of the path, oblivious to people walking less than a couple of metres away.
