Velvet longhorned beetle - Trichoferus campestris

A spreading East Asian species, from Eastern Siberia, Japan is gradually penetrating to the west. Now found in many Eastern European countries: Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland. It is also spreading in the USA and Canada. It is polyphagous, living on various deciduous and coniferous trees. Larvae develop in the wood of dead, diseased trees. Flew into the light.
