Spring Fieldcap - Agrocybe praecox

Mixed forest (Pinus, Betula, Populus tremula). The species prefers a substrate of wood chips, sawdust, small dry twigs. The cap is 30-57mm in diameter, has a pleasant floury smell. The taste is slightly bitter. However, in some years the bitterness is almost not felt. An early edible mushroom. Culinary value is low compared to representatives of the genus Agaricus.
