Barrel Jellyfish - Rhizostoma pulmo

Rhizostoma pulmo is a species of scyphomedusa belonging to Rhizostomeae, which lives in the North Atlantic Ocean, Irish, Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black and Azov seas. It is usually up to 40 cm in diameter, but can exceptionally grow up to 150 cm or more in diameter. This jellyfish is not fatally poisonous to humans, but it is toxic, its effect is a burning sensation on the skin, dermatitis, ulcers.
